Inspired Confidence
Beyond the education and degrees must stand the reputation that is built over the years. The letters behind the doctor’s name will help substantiate his knowledge in the field, but at some point the client must make a value judgment based on how comfortable and congruent the message and the office feel.
Think less in terms of price and gadgets, and more about the person rendering the service. The orthodontist should inspire confidence in you and/or your child, or treatment is likely to be an ordeal.
All of this talk about cognitive care should not negate the importance of good procedural care. As stated earlier, quality health care must include the best of both elements. The new technologies that have revolutionized dentistry are exciting and beneficial. A dental practice that does not keep up with the state of the art may not be serving its clients to the fullest.
